The High River Bike Park Society is a team of local volunteers dedicated to bringing a world-class pump track to our town.
The society is in talks with Velosolutions, an innovative and industry-leading global company that has installed professional tracks around the world.
Through a combination of corporate and community-driven grassroots fundraising, we hope to have the track ready for riders of all ages in early 2020.
okay, what is a pump track?
Pump tracks derive their name from the unique way the riders propel their bikes over the bumps, or ‘rollers’, by shifting their body weight rather than by pedalling, thereby maintaining momentum through the course. There is a staging and launching area but the track itself is a closed loop, so the ride never has to end – and neither does the fun!
Pump tracks were originally designed with the BMX rider in mind, but almost anything with wheels will do! Mountain bikes, skateboards, scooters - even rollerblades!
and how are you going to build it?
Velosolutionsis the recognized leader in state-of-the-art pump track construction. Equipped with knowledge and understanding of the cycling industry, they will build a course specifically designed for the space.
Their superior turnkey tracks take between 2-3 weeks to construct (including sod & landscaping), and come with an excellent warranty.
